News from the Bank of Canada today. The Bank will reduce the overnight rate by 0.25%. Prime will drop to 4.95% (previously 5.20%).
At the second announcement of 2025 and for the seventh announcement in a row the Bank of Canada today decided to reduce the overnight rate. Prime will fall to 4.95%.
The next scheduled date for announcing the overnight rate target is Apr 16, 2025.
